Bio

Headline is a studio artist and instructor living in Seattle, WA. She earned her BFA in ceramics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2013. In 2014 Headline moved to Seattle to learn and work alongside Deb Schwartzkopf and George Rodriguez as their assistant. After working with them at Rat City Studios she took a few years away from art to pursue a career working on boats in the Puget Sound as a deckhand and hopeful future captain. Headline’s mental health began to decline as a direct result of the time away from ceramics and she realized the necessity for a creative outlet. At the beginning of 2018, Headline eagerly returned to clay and began teaching at Sean’s Clay Corner in Seattle, WA where she continues exploring new techniques.
